How do you make reviewing sounds a little more engaging? By having students race to the correct sound! Mrs. Nugent recently had her kindergartners listen for the sounds they heard at the beginning, middle, and end of words, and then students raced to the letter that represented that sound.

Albert Einstein said, "Play is the highest form of research." Mrs. Nugent's kindergartners combined their love of building with the knowledge they're learning about Columbus and the early settlers. These friends used gigantic magnetic tiles to build settlements. What fun way to learn through play!
